Palmetto Bugs!
#11
I like the diatomaceous earth too. It doesn't work anymore once it gets damp or wet though. It also gets fleas, fire ants and other bad guys. Glue traps tend to catch lizards too often and make me feel bad. Homemade mixes of boric acid and sugar will kill those palmetto bugs. Cheap and easy.

Does boric acid powder work if it gets wet?

I think it does as long as it doesn't get washed away. It's just a powder and if it is used outside, any kind of decent rain will just send it down into the soil and gone. If the boric acid/sugar mix just gets damp but stays intact, it's still effective.
