Wow.... I got an email from Theo a day ago saying that "dad" was no where to be seen, and that since he wasn't working the other men decided they weren't going to help him. Everyone assumed he was off on a drinking binge as he had been missing overnight. My heart was broken but I took a deep breath and contemplated how to handle it. Don't want to punish the children because of him; the children are the point, after all.
Well, Theo phoned me last night. Found dad. He is NOT off drinking but rather has a joint injury/problem with his right hand. It is swollen up and he caught a ride to a bigger village 1.5 hours away to see the doctor and couldn't get back. He was hiding because he was embarassed he could not work (as he knew it was a condition for the house) and he panicked. He finally went and saw Theo and was totally surprised we were not "mad" at him. Ahhh, the uneducated have so many fears in this life. Theo got many people together and got back on with the preparations. Just another opportunity to humble me and remind me that assumptions are not good and that faith in someone who is trying takes patience. Have a good smile this morning for all the things, both $ and thoughts you have given this and all other projects. Aloha, Pam Just another day in P A R A D I S E !!

Aloha Theo phoned from Thailand today. There were twenty men and women working on the house today... trusses are up!! He says it is amazing. I didn't actually talk with him. Hubby did phone time while I was busy being the woman on a tractor for the afternoon. Still, Bob says Theo was excited and enthused as things are really moving along fast. Volunteers to do the work are more than we expected and it is going smoothly. Punawebbers are AWESOME!!!! I can't wait to get photos from him; I hope soon! Pam Just another day in P A R A D I S E !!

Okie Dokie... three new photos up with the hope of more to come soon. Seems there is a problem with the lumber and we will be delayed at least a week.

Got two more donations this week. It is slow, but things keep trickling in... Mahalo as always for all your support.
I will be returning with hubby this time in July. Haven't gotten any news or photos this week. It's hard to be here with the project "there". Ah, well.... Just another day in P A R A D I S E !!
