Thank you everyone. The catchment water was tested at came in at a pH of 7.29, which is not all acidic. Indeed, the concrete neutralizes acid rain.

I'm not trying to make Glen more paranoid here, but I wonder at what rate the concrete is being weakened by this. I'm sure it would depend on the frequency and ph of the rain. I recall from my time long ago in the state parks, that using muriatic acid to clean sh**house tile floors and walls, as was the practice, eventually eroded the lime out of the grout, causing it to crumble away. Would this be a concern with the tanks? If so, it might be worth ploping in some sort of sacrificial acid neutralizer. Maybe this is not an issue at all.

In this case the paranoia was on the part of third parties!

The walls are very thick, and it seems pretty sturdy. I would imagine earthquakes to be the greater danger. Do wish the VOG would abate though.
