Yes, the Big Island is the future for the state -- the current (and future) home to house Hawaii's poor and working poor who can no longer afford Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.

It's a sad state of affairs, but what can you do. This is happening in the rest of the country too, it's only exaggerated in Hawaii.
