You seem to be implying that Knights of Columbus and the Catholic faith are equal and interchangeable. If that is so the argument is not really germane to Hawaii and I would suggest that Mazie Hirono, elected representative that she is, has some large latitude to ask the question. You may disagree with the question and I suggest you may not understand the fine points involved.
And I don't know what traditional values are presicely.
Assume the best and ask questions.

Rob, i would opine that u do indeed know what traditional values are and unthinkingly apply them everyday with no need for explaination from me. Especially if you lived in the south.
Mazie is, at this point is fixated on an agenda that is not representative of the people of Hawaii. And yeah, her 'colorful' language is offensive and low class. Unbefitting of her position.

an agenda that is not representative of the people of Hawaii.
She won her most recent election with over 71% of the vote. That’s generally referred to as a landslide victory. I think she may represent more people in Hawaii than you realize. Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it. —Mary Oliver R.I.P. 1/17/19

an agenda that is not representative of the people of Hawaii.
I am curious, what should Mazie do differently?

Clearly not Hawaii related.

The Knights of Columbus have taken positions which are opposed to federal law.
------------- Those positions were not against federal law when they took those positions, and are not "extreme" as Mazie has painted them.

"She won her most recent election with over 71% of the vote.
That’s generally referred to as a landslide victory." I believe Saddam Hussein won an election with 104% of the vote, but of course they had more choices than we did. |
