HPP Swap Meet
#1
How does the first Sat of the month swap meet work? I couldn't find info on the hppoa site (but they do need a rep for district 9). Do you reserve in advance, first come, first served, or???? I am considering whether a garage sale or swap meet table might be better to get rid of stuff.

Hello! The HPP Swap Meet is on the 2nd Saturday of the month.
No need to reserve, it is first come-first serve. A couple of vendors are usually to be found outside from about 5:30am onwards and they line up there (in their vehicles). I think you'd get a table no problem if you came at 6am. It's $10 a table.

Sorry, no. Maybe somebody else knows about the mahjong?

By the way, there is also cheap and yummy cafe food at the Swap Meet and all profits go towards financing the HPP Neighborhood Watch.

Grandfathered, it’s been going on since before zoning

Can you elaborate? Both subdivisions have been zoned ag from day 1 (1959) so I don't understand what you are saying.

I don't understand the assumption here.

Everything is zoned Ag. Including the HPP longhouse parcel 1-5-023-040.

Non-Ag uses (including a farmers' market) require a Special Use Permit.

The Planning Department is complaint driven. There won't be a problem until someone complains. Then they will have to go through the SUP process, which will be successful unless there is opposition from a large segment of the community; Waste of time and tax $ for all.
