Panda Express
#11
aloha all,

ha ha john, beef & broccoli, what's that? [Smile] no, the chinese DEFINITELY know how to cook (sorry oink!) [Smile]

next time you're there, ask them if they have any duck neck, pigs ear or chicken foot! all delicious! only problem with duck neck and chicken foot is there isn't enough meat on the bone, but the flavor is unreal.

i have been in china 6 months now, and i can honestly say that i haven't had a bad meal or dish yet! the great thing is there are so many different kinds of chinese food! my favorite has to be the chinese dishes with middle-eastern influence. kabobs you buy on the street are mouth-watering. 4 kabobs for about 75 cents (US)!

i'm eating guo tie (goh-tee-ay) right now as i type this. fried dumplings! (insert homer simpson mouth-watering sounds here!)

enjoy the panda express! [:p]

No beef and broccoli, John[?][?][?]. I've never been to China, but couldn't help but think of menu items in some other locations that I have been that I doubt would be big sellers here.[Big Grin][Big Grin][Big Grin]

Dirk - I agree, but only somewhat. I did notice quite a few employees there at Panda Express, so I'm guessing their pay will contribute locally. Not that long ago, wife and I were commenting on the number of restaurants that we've patronized locally that have closed in last 5 years. Kinda shocking in a sense.[:0][:0] We possibly eat out more than the average couple (and have the credit card records to prove it hehehe). We also commented about another local eatery we no longer frequent because they raised their prices so high about a year ago. Panda prices were on par with what we pay at Ichiban, so I guess we'll patronize both. As for the list of future venues you mentioned, they'd most likely go out of business if dependent on my patronage, we still haven't been to IHop, and no immediate plans to go. Guess what I'm saying is if a local kind place serves a good product at a competitive price with good service, they have nothing to worry about.
I'd eat at Ocean Sushi every day, but my budget says No way [V][V][V]

MSG - No MSG are prominently displayed on the displays.
