Yes, I've run into that.
I tried to transfer money to my local account from my DA account.
I tripped on the $5k transfer limit.
Had to make several transfers to get them evened up.

Not sure, but I think I mighty be able to buy a new car for "cash" by making the transfers to checking.
Then, write a check or use a debit card to make the purchase.
Not sure if that will work, need to check it out.
Although, until they get a better way to produce electricity than burning diesel, getting an EV is little more than shooting one's self in the foot, as far as I can see.
I'll probably continue to drive my late '90s gas guzzler with no payments or investment to make.

Surprised me, but CUHawaii has the most locations on the island.
They are the only one with a Pahoa office.
Although, they ticked me off recently, made me take my mask off to make a withdrawal.
The epidemic has made a drive up window necessary.
My disappointment, with them may be based  on little more than the change from using the same account for 35 to 40 years.
I will keep them, at least for now.
Using 2 accounts, each in separate FCU's, would allow transferring at least up to $10k at a time.

Was a Democrat until gun control became a knee jerk, then a Republican until the crazies took over, back to being a nonpartisan again.
This time, I can no longer participate in the primary.
