A friend of mine have a signed contract with 2 guys to build his house. They are not contractor. Everything is paid but only the framing is done. One of the guy said that his partner skipped town and took half of the payment with him, and that he had no money left to buy material to finish the house. My friend is a farmer and his English is not very good. Anyone knows of a Chinese speaking attorney ?

Canhle,I don't have a reference, just a suggestion .
The situation looks bad,so your friend needs a very good lawyer. Since the best one might not be fluent in Chinese may be an interpreter will help?

I would also add Cahn, that he might report this person(s) to the Attorney General's Office in Hilo...too much of this type of stuff going on and on...
So sorry to hear this sad story.

Please, keep us posted. And when the time is right it would be nice that the names are mentioned to make sure those scammers will not have any more jobs around here.
