A repair guy was just telling us about his new baby daughter and I remembered that in the Hawaii Tribune Herald this weekend the birth announcements listed 9 boys and 31 girls!
Does anyone have an explanation?

My sister-in-law is due in 8 days...It is a boy.

It is commonly known by teachers on the Islands that Hawaii tends to have more boys than girls, for the last two years I had one class with only one girl in it! She sure didn't see it as "good pickins" though, she just wanted another girl to hang out with.
