We are looking for truck/delivery service to pick-up asphalt shingles from the Kona side and deliver to HPP in Puna. The truck needs to carry at least 11 1/2 tons. Anyone got some leads for us?
Thanks in advance[

Wow, a 22,000lb roof, is this slate?
Wow again, some asphalt systems could go 400lbs per square!

No slate - but that tonage is what RSI in Knoa gave me as required to carry 60 squares of asphalt roofing. Perhaps I will check with them again on the wieght [?]

My goodness; how much roof have you got? 60 "squares" is 6000 sq ft.

Multiple trips in a lighter truck could work. It is pallets of shingles that could even be loaded in separate bundles if necessary. Of course, that is labor intensive so maybe no savings there. So the seller doesn't deliver? He's in the shingle business and doesn't have a truck?

Or you could wait till the Superferry, and hope for Kawaihae to Hilo service!
Now you'll find how much you really saved! Hope you're not on rain catch!
