Thanks for having me these few months. I'm pretty sure a few of you have met me. Ran the coffee shop in the Hilo market.
Anyhow, like I already posted earlier, this is a beautiful state, but the local interest just doesn't line up with mine and the wife. We met some great people though, and I will miss a lot of stuff here. However, we decided it's best for us to return to Alaska.
Best of luck to everyone, and I'll check in every now and again.

Not to mention the job market is sooo much better in Alaska. Hope the best for you. I lived in Alaska for 32 years before moving here. I miss it occasionally (the summers...not the winters...LOL)

Well if you must return now is a great time. So far it's been a sweet interior summer. Lots of June activities. Here you're leaving and the wife and I are a step closer to getting to Hawaii. Looking back you'll be happy you gave it a shot.
Peace

Rusty, where are you in the interior? We live in north pole, but I should be resuming my job in Fairbanks.
I'm really looking forward to getting back. We had to sell the vast majority of our stuff to do it, but were going home.
I'd love it here for a vacation, but the job market is just a no go for my skill set. (got bad info on that pre move)

Like anything else, it's what you make of it! I've left and returned a few times. Trying it one more time...
On Oahu now staying with friends till I get a few more things wrapped up hopefully soon I'll be back on the big island.
Like Rusty says, at least you gave it a shot!

Thanks for all the well wishing guys. Honestly, I it's going to be interesting to be cold again. I got used to the temperatures here lol.
After getting work figured out, I'm going fishing I think. (brought the wrong gear down here, so I haven't been fishing in almost a year)
