What section of the Puna district has the least rain?

Based on my limited experience, Kapoho.

Since Hawaiian Beaches is close to Kapoho, is it also less rainy than other subdivisions?

Sadly, the answer to that is "depends". The upper portion of Beaches would have more rain than the lower portion close to the ocean. It will still have more rain than Kapoho. There's something about Kapoho that seems to scare the rain away. Kehena, Puna Beach Palisades and Kalapana Sea View Estates also seem to be areas of lower rainfall.

John, had to read that twice, first reading was soemthing scaring the rain away, Kehena ... (Didn't know the rain was that modest!) OK, It's the end of the week & I had a test at school, and it's late & I don't have my glasses on to notice the period rather than the comma!
But at least I got a chuckle out of it!
Aloha, Carey

My home is on the upper part of Hawaiian Shores on Aweoweo. We get a lot less rain than I had anticipated when I bought it, most of it at night like everywhere else.

Carey, based on my visits to Kehena, it does get less rain, but not because of the nekkid people. Glad it gave you a chuckle. A few times I've been at Kehena it started to rain and I thought to myself "well, at least my clothes won't get wet".
