Papaya fungus

Does anyone know about papaya tree fungus? How to prevent? It seems to affect the fruit too, at least the taste. We're in nanawale - pretty wet and damp for a lot of things. What fruits grow well here?

On another subject: I love the commercial passionfruit juice which is mixed with white grape juice and probably sweetened as well. Right now we are inundated with passionfruits on our vines - anyone know how to make good homemade juice from them?
