breadfruit tree roots

I would like to try starting a breadfruit tree. Does any one have root cutting to get rid of? Has anyone started them from root cutting ? Has anyone started them from seed?

i have started them from sucker sprouts direct from roots.. takes awhile but have about 70 percent success rate. my first patch didnt do well, i placed out in open, so put in protected shady spot.. there is a big one behind puna fresh foods that suckers alot but be very careful, rather difficult area so wear boots and tread carefully!

I was the lucky recipient of one of lquade's breadfruit "sticks" and it's doing really well... potted up to a larger pot, and I'm keeping it out of the heavy rains, but it's growing really nicely. Good luck - the trees are so pretty.
