Veterenary Care
#1
We had a doggie crisis today and poor Gumbo has had doggie surgery. He is home recovering this evening.

Just wanted to give Kudos to Kilauea Veterenary in Kea'au. Dr. Seska is wonderful, the staff is caring and communicative and the prices re most reasonable.

Gumbo is coming around though groggy, It was only an ear flap hematoma but had to be dealt with to stop the bleeding. He is snuggled into a clean bed and doing fine...

Just another day in P A R A D I S E !!

I second the kudos to Dr. Seska and her staff at the Kilauea Vet Clinic in Kea'au! We had an emergency with our parrot, a Galah, and she was the only vet in the area my wife could find who treated birds and would see him immediately. They did a fine, careful job handling our bird. It was a bonus that she had once owned the same species of bird, too. Nothing like finding a good vet to set one's mind at ease.

We also really like Dr. Shannon Nakaya, a mobile vet who is based in Kona, but usually visits the east side on Tuesdays. She has a great philosophy (see her website http://www.kindredspiritkindredcare.com) and she's perfect for people who's pets have a difficult time with car travel. Dr. Nakaya feels that she can get a better idea of an animal's behavior in the comfort of its home. It's very nice to see her carefully observe your pet as she gathers its medical history from you.
