Northwestern Hawaiian Islands - Sanctuary!
#11
I agree wholeheartedly regarding Bush. I think he has done great harm to this country and to the world.

My only concern with the new announcement was that finally a portion of the creatures and habitat in our care will be watched more carefully and protected moreso than they currently are. They don't deserve to be murdered and mamed by the filth and lack of conscience that have been leveled on them.

I don't kid myself about that man...he's toxic at the best of times and to encourage the holocaust that's going on for his oil gluttony (which I know none of us here on the forum kid ourselves about - that's the reason for Iraq) benefits none. I am amazed that this man has been let loose on the world.

There's a time for everything...I choose to celebrate this small victory for the islands.

Bush is an ongoing resentment for me...I can't live in resentment all the time - it's malignant for me.

Here is an article giving credit where credit is due regarding this bill. Rep Ed Case spearheaded this legislation and the article is interesting to me. Sen Akaka is also mentioned on his vote in favor of drilling in the Alaskan protected areas.
