Don't many of them stay in the military their whole life, live on or near a base with their families?

If they do, they should vote there. But if the declare residency elsewhere, that's where they should vote.

When I was in that was how it was, if it's changed so military can vote in 2 states, that's new. I think it would be nice if they speak english and were citizens, but one party would have anyone vote.

In many cases, when deployed overseas, military members have been disenfranchised, had their absentee votes scrutinized and tossed out. If ANY laws are changed, they should be changed so that these heroes votes are always counted.

I think it's rather odd to have a gay republican (which is a contradiction in itself) and you think the military put her in office. Ha
They only put those that they can control in office. setting my soul free....

Well Lingle veto'd 2 tax increase bills and the hotel tax and part of the tobacco tax yesterday....Today the legislature overrode her veto and passed all 4 bills.
http://kgmb9.com/main/content/view/17190/76/ Will Lingle now veto the budget?

How did she become Governor Lingle?
My daughter and all her friends and all their friends with school-age kids, voted for her twice, because she supposedly advocated the breakup/decentralization of the DOE. Hawai'i Island would have it's own ACCESSIBLE DOE, with adequate funding. I didn't live here during her first term. After watching the grossly incompetant, ineffective, bordering on miserable education supported by the kindom of DOE, I don't blame them. They have moved to Bellevue, WA. My grandchildren are thriving in school.

She had lots of money. She outspent her opponent campaigning in the last election something like 10 to 1. Actually it wasn't even a contest...she won by a landslide.
