Shipman Ltd. has donated (I think or perhaps sold in a friendly manner) land for community purposes as suits their master plan. The park in Keaau I think was donated. The Keaau High School is on what was Shipman land and it fits their master plan though there are some who think it should have been located closer to the students - maybe in HPP. Shipman has also benefited greatly by millions of taxpayer dollars in capital road improvements crossing Keaau.
