Want to be a fishing partner

Want to be a fishing partner?

I have a 26 foot double end er built by Chris Craft for the Navy. The boat is known as a ship to ship or ship to shore [captain’s gig]. The boat has a new rebuilt Westerbecker four cylinder diesel engin that hasn’t been started since it was rebuilt. The engin will not use more than one gallon of fuel per hour and has a cruising speed of eight knots and a range of four hundred miles. Needs a new starter complete wire harness and two new batteries and someone with the knowledge to put it all together. All other parts, bilge pumps, shifters, hoses, belts, are new and need to be installed.

The boat has a new, 300 miles on the trailer under it. The trailer alone cost me $4,000.00 to have built eight years ago and is a duel axial, four new tires and a spare. Boat needs to be gel coated inside [I have the materials]. My poor physical condition forces me to take on a working partner because I can not do the work myself. To put this boat in tip top condition will coast around $2,000.00 and plenty of labor.

I have plans of putting a cutty cabin on this boat and have found an all fiberglass one that will fit perfectly. Now here is the deal:

You put up the money and ether do the labor or pay for the labor [I have a person that will do it for the money and he is good]. I will make you a 50/50 partner in the boat. When the boat is complete it will be worth about $25,000.00. But what I would like is to have a working and fishing partner not just fix it up then sell.

I have also placed this request else where so Huba Huba

Oink,

6,000 lbs a regular size truck will do the job. I have pulled it with one of my jeep Cherokee's. Don't think that I would like to launch with it though.

That isn’t a perkins 4107 or 8 masquerading as a westersneaky is it? ... westerbekes being red and perkins being blue apart from some minor pump and heat exchanger bits they are pretty similar, perkins providing the long blocks

Nina over at Louis (310) 435 4809 ( long beach may be 562 now) had a bunch of these boats knows them well and has all of the Buck Algonquin stuff you would ever want
