Jet Heng has his shingle out for the 2010 Council race.

As I recall he ran against Dennis "Fresh" Onishi.

Considering a number of factors, people should take a "fresh" look at Jet Heng.

I met Jet a few times and found him a very bright and capable young man. On a parallel with Tony Marzi perhaps.

We lived in Hilo during the last election and Jet came through and knocked on every single door in our neighborhood. Personable young man, very intelligent, and he seemed to really want to hear what voters wanted. We were very impressed but he didn't have the old boys' connections and I think that hurt him.

Of course that hurt him. He does not appear to be under their control.

More reason to consider supporting him with donations and your vote.
