Baby chicks infested with bird mites

Thank you all for your insight on bird mites. This info was very helpful! I didn't realize how bad our infestation was until I was waking up with bites all over me. One of of our hens recently hatched chicks and is full of them. Now the dogs, cats and us are bothered. Got some DE and flee spray. Problem solved.

I have used baking soda sprinkled all over carpets, and behind appliances to do basically the same thing as DE. It dehydrates fleas and mites.
