Vision Van visits upcoming

Aloha Puna Webbers:
In conjunction with the Diabetes Conference, the Lions Clubs of the Big Island are bringing over the Vision Van from O’ahu to screen peoples’ eyes for disorders ranging from cataracts and glaucoma to retinopathy and macular degeneration. If anyone is interested in a free 5 minute eye exam, they are encouraged to come to the locations listed on the appropriate day and register to be screened.
The eyes will not be dilated and the results are
confidential. A consultation with an opthamologist will be recom mended if a
problem is diagnosed.

Dates and Times the van will be available:

-August 28th Office for the Aging,
1055 Kino’ole St. 9am-3pm

-August 29th Hilo High School, Wainuenue Ave. 8am-4pm

-August 30th Maku’u Farmers Market, Kea’au-Pahoa Rd. 8am-2pm

-August 31st Office for the Aging,
1055 Kino’ole St. 9am-3pm

-September 1st, Na’alehu Family Health Center 85-5583 Mamalahoa Hwy, Na’alehu Ka’u 10am-3pm

Sounds good. My wife keeps on telling me to get an eye exam and I keep on telling her I don't need one and that we don't have the money for one. But since I'm a weekly Makuu market goer...and they will be there all day Sunday...I have no excuse!
