Does anyone have any info (or know how to get it) on the Slack Key Festival being held Sept. 6 at the Keauhou Sheraton? I have been trying to find something on the web but keep striking out! All I can find it that it is noon to 6pm and it is free but I would like to know who will be performing. The folks on the phone at the Sheraton were no help!

That is a great link! Performers are listed for virtually every event but the one I am looking for. I will keep the link for future reference.

We saw Ledward Ka'apana in Grass Vally, Ca. in July. Wow! So beautiful I couldn't keep the tears back.
Dan
Seeing Led would be the primary draw for me. Last year, instead of playing at the Slack Key Festival, he played at the Save Punalu'u festival. This year, I see he is on Oahu the night before, so I'm hoping he'll be in Keauhou on the 6th.
Grass Valley sounds like a beautiful setting!
I took a video of him at Punalu'u; maybe I should try putting it on Youtube. I've never posted a video.

I looked at Led's schedule on his website and he won't be there. I dialed the telephone number listed for the festival but got no answer, I will try during the week.
Oh, that's disappointing but thank you for the news. The festival is always good, and I plan to go anyway, but I would have liked to see Led again. The first time I saw him was at the Slack Key Festival, in 2003, when it was at the Hilton.
The Festival is never free for us. We always buy CD's from the artists and they are expensive, add in a T-shirt, and some beer, and it costs a fair amount. But it's fun.
