Holiday time, and I got kitchen problems!?!?
#1
My refrigarator is about ready to die I'm afraid. The inside is, small kine cold.
freezer was okay two days ago, but it now is losing it's coolness too. The next few weeks we will be doing plenty cooking for the holidays. Not to mention that everytime my two kids aged 11 & 3 pass through the kitchen....they gotta open the magic food box to see if anything has appeared.

So does anybody have a favorite refrig. repair guy they can recommend to me?

Have you pulled it out and cleaned the coils in the back? It can really help if they are dirty.

mdd's advice is good idea. sometimes the coils are underneath, same thing, clean the grill on front under door. also, if ice is built up in the freezer, defrost it. believe it or not, ice is not helpful in keeping refrigerator cold. when ice is built up, it also blocks circulating fan from cooling the fridge part.

Could be your defrost timer has gone bad.
There are also quite a few sites where you can get specific help so you can do some of your own repairs (if you're handy) or at least be informed if you call in a pro.
