American Savings Bank & The IRS

I'm curious if anyone else has had a problem with the IRS depositing their refund into an American Savings Bank account. The IRS was unable to deposit my girlfriend's refund into her ASB account despite the fact that the routing and account numbers were correct.

Thus, she has to wait an additional three weeks for the IRS to issue her a paper check.

Aaron, I know that ASB recently changed their policy regarding direct deposits into savings accounts. They now only allow direct deposits into checking.

This could possibly be the snag. Hope it helps.

She selected the refund to be deposited into her checking account.

I recently had my refund get direct deposited into my CU Hawaii account with no problem. In addition, I haven't read of any issues with 2010 direct deposits of refunds. Thus, I would figure its an ASB issue.
