Ainaloa Golf Course Status
#1
Has anyone heard any info lately on Hawaii Shellstone Club's golf course project for Ainaloa. Someone told me they were bankrupt. I'd like to get this property on Open Spaces Commission list.

Any info on what they bought the land for or what it's worth now? It's my understanding that it comprises two 200 acre lots at the end of Ainaloa Blvd borderting Hawaiian Acres, Ainaloa, and Orchidland.

Is there some specific attraction to the parcels?

400 acres of greenspace seems much better than a golf course. Good luck, Jeffery.

I am just wondering what it is about these parcels that would make them prime candidates for open space. I have long felt that Green Mountain/Green Lake are definitely prime land for preservation. Just having been considered for a golf course doesn't make the acres special unless there's something I don't know.
