Seeb: The short answer is no. 'not while construction is proceeding, but yes after finished'. Take your item to Kea'au xfr and put into 'sheet metal' bin, which is in the island between entry road and trash chutes.

yes, they will hold it until construction is over. At least that is what happened with mine last week.
