Alternative to prisons

The justice system in general. If you take it literally, I doubt anyone could find 12 people to consider their peers. Prosecutors routinely seat seat ignorant groups of jurors. Then again, how else can you keep your numbers up otherwise?

Case and point, my field of expertise is firearms and firearms law. If someone has a self defense shooting, I know I'd be the last person on a jury because a fellow enthusiast could take part of the prosecutions case apart. (again, example)

agreed. jusry of your peers is laughable, especially when minorities are the accused.
