Tom, I guess that explains why we couldn't see the mountain top this morning!
Keaau town had a little rain last night (drops in the rain gauge) & a sprinkle a while ago (almost enough to stop working in the garden... but not! - seeing how long it takes to bust up my new rake!) Keeps looking like a downpour.... then clears up.

ETA: Just looked up & the mountain is beautiful, the top peak is a complete & stunning white!

The daft thing is that camera is surrounded by a supposedly heated dome of glass to stop it icing up, but it rarely seems to work. Years ago we had a cheap camera there with no protection, and it hardly ever iced up. The good thing about the camera location is that it's one of the few at the summit which points towards the west, which is usually where the weather that affects the observatories comes from. It's also movable and is used to check the dome for icing from Hilo, so sometimes you'll see a very different picture to the normal one when we're playing around with it!
