Flies...
#11
I lost my starbuck's coffee cup with the closing tab (again) so I poured my coffee into an old spaghetti glass jar; yes, I save them and reuse them cause I'm cheap!

I was pissed when I turned around and found a boat load of flies in my cup. Then a light bulb went off; now, when I make myself a cup of coffee, I make them one too.

Same sort of thing with the coquis; I found a boatload of them under a tarp, now I put 4 x 4 pieces of tarps under the area I hear them and grab a hammer.

Puts a smile on my face almost every day cause, now that the kids are grown, I have something to live for again.

I drink a really strong cup of coffe; used to need it raising 3 daughters and working full time. 7-11 coffee is simply water to me.

I grind espresso beans until their practically a powder, cold brew and add so much homemade vanilla extract, powdered creamer and powdered sugar it would make the average person give off so much gas they could run their generator for days.

Is that too much information? [Wink]

Forgot to add, it's a great gnat catcher, fruit fly catcher and it even drowns those little slow flying, I wanna fly up your nose, land on every clean white plate you have, beetle looking, SWARMING creatures that I've gotten a couple of times since I moved here 7 years ago. (7 year anniversary in a couple of days....yippie)

I think it's the vanilla and sugar that attracts them and I'm assuming the creamer makes the coffee more viscous so they can't escape once they've entered.

I doesn't just catch a few either, by the end of the day you can't even really tell that it was once a cup of liquid. It's pretty gross really, the amount of bugs flying around all the time.

And, don't leave it out overnight because the geckos think you've left them a snack and, sadly, they can't escape either.

I recently found a site for some neat fly traps.
