HawaiianTel Email acct
#1
Here is some info received from my frrecycling friends on bouncing emails specifically from hawaiiantel to aol and road runner email accts:

One of our members sent me this in reply to our councing messages.
Mahalo Richard!

The issue I am about to describe only applies to those whose ISP is
hawaiiantel.net and who user their mail servers. For example, any
using Outlook or Outlook Express is probably using hawaiiantel's
mail servers.

Here's the "know issue". One of four Hawaiiantel's mail servers is
returning emails sent to an aol subscriber. This means you have a
25% of mail sent to an aol subscriber being bounced back to you.

Hawaiiantel is currently being investigated by the state PUC for the
lack of service. I, personally, have filed three complaints. If
anyone wants to file a complaint they can do so by sending their
complaint to:
Public Utilities Commission
465 South King Street, #103
Honolulu, Hawaii 96813

Refer to Docket No. 2006-0400 in your complaint.

Aloha,
Richard

Cat,

what choices do you have in you area for ISP? Word for the wise, If you are still using AOL...dump as fast as you can! This is really not the internet! Sure, when the internet first popped up on the scene, AOL first two versions fit the need for most of us.

Why do I say AOL is not truly the internet? Because, AOL locks you within the boundaries of the main window, and crowds the window with excessive AOL branding and advertising. People really need to think about this! I realize AOL is free now...but that is no excuse for using it!

Cat, are you using AOL mail service? It's gotta be "junk", because the good folks at TimeWarner doesn't even use it!
