Perils of Paradise
#21
Hey David, I cut & pasted your post and e-mailed it to Bob (he is back in the Bahamas). He already views you as superherodoityourselfer. Everyone on the crew in the Bahamas has seen your house photos. He is now using you as inspiration to get this place done. "If David can build that whole place practically by himself I can get this house remodeled..." I just don't like that he keeps mentioning how Sophie helps out. Ask her not to mention that next time. You know, she needs to say she just shows up with lemonade & cookies sometimes. I am really not looking for much manual labor in my daily schedule Tongue

I never noticed you were a lefty before. Most of us lefties are liberals. So now I know I have a chance on converting you.

David, did anyone venture a guess as to what caused your anguish?

Take care of yourself, David.

I think I could easily console myself by just taking in the view from your place!

Hey David, my SO got that same thing about 3 months ago. thought it was a spider bite, deep purple, etc... except his swelled overnight and by his doc appt at 3:30 Pm he had a fever of 102.4 with red lines running up his arm - the doc gave him a shot of Rossefin (SP??) in his office, said it was staph, and then prescribed high dose of Bactrim and Cipro. Took about 1 day for redness to start disappearing... about a 10 days or 2 weeks to heal up.

So a warning if you get the infection, ask your doc if they have read the circular on the resistant staph. The recommendations are for higher doses of the bactrim with the antibiotics... (a sulfa drug)...

Same thing happened to me about 1 yr. ago. I really thought it was a insect bite, but it turned out to be staph. It took a long time to heal and of course lots of antibiotics !
