Fertilizing

Well, it is the dead of winter according to my calendar but my own internal clock and calendars both are whacked so.....

All my literature says feed the truit trees when they show the first signs of blossoms as they need the nutrients to grow. I just ate a wonderful tangerine off one of those trees and I see more flowers popping here and there on the threes, so what the heck! With 11 weeks of rain and now 3 or 4 days of sunshine, I am going with the trees and forgetting the calendar. Hope we see lots of new fruit this season. It would be nice to have some success that pigs or dogs or thieves haven't ruined. 2012... maybe this is our year!

I want to be the kind of woman that, when my feet
hit the floor each morning, the devil says

"Oh Crap, She's up!"

I, too, have noticed that our wonderful navel orange, and our tangerine & lime are all blooming....at first it was 2 weeks ago & there were a few fragrant blossoms on the orange, which is not totally strange, as that tree is an almost year-ound provider, but this morning the whole garden was wonderously fragrant & the orange had a summer like mass of blossoms along with the other trees....soooo... maybe it is that their calendar was messed up... I dunno...but do enjoy the wonderous perfume!
