Ironically, the very last part of those "chase scenes," when the "Nazi's" Pinto went flying off the bridge - was filmed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - known at that time as the "bridge to nowhere" and then had the Chicago City scene "overlaid" as the car falls.

Seriously, if construction lane markings require a driver to "guess" as to which way to go - then they are poorly done.
