Hilomoto- Small engine repair

String Trimmer / Brush Cutter Repair

Has anyone used their service before?

Today's gasoline creates havoc for equipment with small 2 stroke engines. The ethanol alcohol that is mandated by the EPA quickly dissolves the fuel lines and the fuel itself degrades in short order.
Service may include some or all of the following:
New fuel lines
New fuel filter
New or cleaning of air filter
Clean or rebuild carburetor
Tune carburetor for optimal fuel ration and richness
Greasing shaft and gear head

They do good work, very resourceful and efficient.

I like Puna Small Engine repair across from the Pahoa dump road. Bill took my basket-case weedwacker & put it back together cheaply. As for the ethanol issue I run my lawnmower & weekwacker dry so there is no fuel left. Very simple!

Greg (HiloMoto) had my old little tiller for a few weeks trying to find parts. None of the parts that he replaced cured the problem, so he brought it back today and did not charge me anything for parts or service!!! He delivers and picks up and so I sent my newer Echo weedwhacker off with him to recover from my neglect, since I was only using my other Echo. I would enthusiastically recommend him.
