The problem with airbag monolithic is it looks too bland and just rebar/mesh always ends up looking lumpy. A geodesic dome shell is not that much by itself plus there are lots of floorplans with architectural drawings. It would be to retain the aesthetics, the main structural strength from the concrete around the wooden shell. It makes the interior easier to finish, just sheetrock panels on the wood struts. Anyway, just an idea to kick around. Made this one last night, took about two hours without real precise assembly. It is a reminder how precise geodesic dome construction has to be. I am going to try a stiffer cardboard one, more finished, paint it with a primer and try that latex concrete on it.
