I agree Rob, all Billy supports is big business and any development will profit big business not the community. I saw Harry waving on 130 too(another thread) and it almost made me tear... I can't imagine voting for Billy.

"Would you rather have Uncle Billy getting his support from meth profits, big oil payoffs, mafia smuggling of pacific hardwoods, witness protection contributions, and axis deer smuggling?"
Where did you come up with that? Not from me. Are you suggesting Harry Kim is in league with meth labs? Strawman argument.
Assume the best and ask questions.

I agree with you up to a point. However, it seems you are forgetting that as our elected representative in this so called democratic republic it is indeed Billy's job to be our "voice" or intermediary in such matters. If he feels it necessary to come on the radio to say a few words in the event of a tsunami evacuation you think he'd care enough to have some follow up / follow through on such matters of importance!

That's your opinion it's not a fact. People live all over the geothermal area, people Billy represents as Mayor. Government (Billy) is supposed to exists for the people, not for Israeli energy companies.

Not to play (or feed) the troll, but you're both wrong: government is for sale to the highest bidder, and right now that happens to be the energy industry.
If there's anyone left after that's all used up, they'll be for sale to the water industry.
DLNR (and "conservation" zoning) are a hedge against future needs: large pieces of tropical real estate (with plenty of water) can be sold to pay off Chinese debt, etc.

Okay. Sorry Ted I shouldn't rag you on like that. I don't start out trying to troll but sometimes it just comes out that way with you I suppose. I see what your saying and agree I know Billy isn't the one that has authority over them it's just that I'm trying to point out since we live here we should get to make the decisions, or at least someone we elect.
