I would love to be part of a reading group that tackles challenging books and great literature (not necessarily old literature, but first rate writing, not current bestsellers). I suspect there is no such animal here, but if anyone knows of one ...

In California, I was part of four different reading groups, one of them I attended weekly for a decade and made lifelong friends. I miss that here.

Is there anyone here who is into literary analysis? If so, post or email me ...

Can people please e-mail me as well about these book clubs? I live in Hilo but I lived in Puna for four years (and can obviously drive there). Any kind of book club would interest me -- both the "great literature" or other. Thanks very much.
