Bright Light Falls From Sky In Leilani
#1
We just watched what might have been a falling star, a very bright light falling straight down to the ground, towards the back of Leilani, while driving down Leilani Ave. It fell very quickly.

Not para-whatever certainly, but weird sh_t, nonetheless.

Probably just a very bright meteor, they occur more often than you'd think, and depending on the geometry they can look as if they were very nearby but are normally several miles above you in the atmosphere. Did it leave a trail?

Trippy stuff eh LeeE?
Luckily I saw one closely sail overhead one evening, no glow left in it when it passed overhead and was perhaps 3-6" in diameter and the velocity was slowed down to around 100 MPH overhead, it was about 30' overhead as could be seen by the smoke trail it left behind. I first saw a flash off over the horizon that turned to a glow and then watched a small smoke trail emerge heading towards me and then it proceeded overhead and I could see the actual object from our camp fire glow smoke trailing it. That’s how they appear when they are coming in more parallel to the Earth’s surface towards your location. Never heard the impact but it had to have been close by, say a couple hundred yards tops. I'll bet I never see one like it again, on the flip side, I'll see many more bright ones come down.

Code:
Mahalo for the replies and info.

It had no tail, looked to be around 400 feet in the air and plummeted straight down to the ground, somewhere not far from where we were driving.

I was a brilliant, yellow/white light, round and very distinct in shape.

"It was..."

I've experienced some strange sh-t in life, but have never, to my knowledge, been a brilliant, yellow/white, round light.

Just clarifying.
