Bylaws caall for 48 hours notice to directors, but no mention of members; but historically notices have been posted at the Longhouse 48 hours in advance of said meetings. State statutes do not specify a time. I may be wrong in the last; if I am please correct me. Thanks, Gary

Lika, I had a death in my family just hours before Wednesday's meeting so I did not attend. However, another vigilant member came by later and said it turned out to be a good meeting. Another member in attendance was less than thrilled but an attempted board stuffing was averted for the time being, apparently.
I'll report more later after I have a chance to deal with my family matters and am able to follow up with other sources. Thanks for YOUR follow-up.
Anela, I think what NCA is going through has had replays in practically all the Puna subdivisions with similar community associations, and usually more than once over the years. It's part of the problem of the lack of foresight shown when these "substandard" (as the gov't agencies are now referring to them) subdivisions were set up in lower Puna. You can't opt out of these community associations once you've bought into the subdivision (except by selling your interest in the subdivision).
Thanx for the input, you'all. fs
