The Keauhou Bird Conservation Center is holding their annual open house on December 14 and 15, 2013. The facility is located near the Volcano Golf Course. Don’t miss this once a year opportunity to get an up close look at some of Hawaii’s rarest birds and learn about our avian conservation efforts. Some of the birds you will see: ’Alala (Hawaiian Crow), Palila, Kiwikiu (Maui Parrotbill) and Puaiohi (Small Kauai Thrush).
