Target 10% savings store wide today only
#1
Not good enough!!!

Target offered an apology for the credit card mishap and is offering a 10% discount store wide today only. Unfortuneately I was one of the customers who used their debit cards between November 27th and December 15th at the Hilo Target and my bank in Alaska automatically cancelled our cards. So we can't buy "anything" until the new ones arrive in 7 to 10 business days.

I agree the 10% off sale for one day only isn't good enough. This breach is causing a major inconvienence for a lot of people. Target should do more.

I had to go to my bank the day after the breach was announced and cancelled my credit card. I didn't want to take any chances.

It was 15% if you showed your red card (mine was cancelled so I couldnt use it). No company is immune to hacking, at least Target is trying to offset the corresponding hassle!
Nothing left to do but

Honestly, they are under no obligation to do anything. Name one other major retailer that has had credit card information stolen that did anything other than issue an apology? I doubt you can name any.
There have been numerous over the years that have had credit card information stolen.

At least Target offered something that's more than any other retailer has offered that I can think of.
