Friday, january 3rd exhibition opening for local artist arthur johnsen. 141 kalakaua ave downtown hilo. refreshments and hula 5:30 pm to 9 pm

that is tonight, friday night. stop by if you are in hilo town, its free and the artist has an impressive collection of paintings, must be over 150! mens choir and hula dancers and a pupeteer for the kids and refreshments!

This is a great exhibit. Lovely paintings of the Puna area - and many for sale. I would encourage everyone to stop by. There's also a Hawaii Plein Air show at the Wailoa down bayfront. Both exhibits/shows are on until the end of January. Wonderful paintings.
