So, take your price 300 R/T Plus 160 R/T inter island = 460 saving you 140 bucks. If that's worth it to you. But you should factor in baggage fees, Two free meals R/T and drinks on Hawaiian. Plus comforts of reclining seats. I'd consider that to be 40+ bucks so... Really you're saving about 80 bucks plus to factor in gas for someone to drive to Eugene and back to PDX is about 120 miles each way so that's 240 miles plus another 240 to drive you back. That's at least 60+ bucks in gas for 480 miles.

Found one in mid May for $473.00 roundtrip per person Hilo to Portland on United. I scooped that baby up quick. This google travel link is quite impressive and I was able to find the lowest fare quickly

I just got approved for hawaiian miles card (again). I figure after a the yearly card fee and the half off coupon I'll have paid around 400 bucks or so for two R/T tickets. I wonder if I can cancel after the first year and apply again next year for another 35000 miles?
