Grounding rods in HPP

Just mentioned it because I've seen it tried (the ladder accident waiting to happen)! Hammer drill is stable on the hammer only setting. I just let it hammer away. Won't go through super dense material as well, as the grounding electrode just has a point to drive itself through the rock. Sometimes it chugs through it, other times not. Code also states you can drive it no more than 45 degrees angle from perpindicular to grade or bury it in a trench at least 30 inches in depth if rock encountered, all rods to be minimum 8 feet in length.
