Storm Recovery Meditation Practice set for Sept. 6th from 10 - 3
Hawaiian Paradise Park: Iselle wreaked havoc across big areas of our island. Nevertheless, our sacred loyal protectors, MK & ML, stood still, silent and solid as they took the breath out of her at the last second. Iselle was a seminal event for East Hawaii residents and the impacts may be hard to shake. This ½ day of mindfulness is to reflect on our blessings, to calm down, recover, and to seek refuge from the traumatic devastation, emotional turmoil and financial distress. On Saturday, September 6th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. we will gather at a private home in Hawaiian Paradise Park for a mini-retreat.

I have been following the teachings of Vietnamese Buddhist Zen Monk Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) since 2004. This mindfulness event is based on Thay’s books, talks and the tradition of Engaged Buddhism. Mindfulness however, is widely regarded as a universal practice beneficial to all. I invite you to join me on the path of personal freedom, peace and joy.
