Over-armed Deedy meets Ha'ole hating Elderts
#81
Vampire = "The FBI is supposed to be here to protect us, so if a FBI agent carried a AR-15, I would know who to thank for their hard work.

Even an inexperienced English major or even an obnoxious drunk would not be dumb enough to insult an FBI agent with an AR-15"

You already are insulting the FBI, perhaps because they had nothing to do with the Deedy case! See Deedy is a Special Agent with the Department of State!!!!

Went to UCLA, English major - NOT!

Yay, Deedy found not-guilty of murder. Righteousness. I hope everyone remembers this lesson here in Hawaii. Especially the racist instigators. Might doesn't make right. Thanks colt 45.

There are no winners here. This is not a "racial" issue. There are two sides, and none of us were there that night.

We operate under a "western" law(s). As a kanaka maoli, it does not always serve it's purpose, nor does the mentality of "F*&*king Haole" dictate right from wrong.

May this young man rest in peace, may his family find some sort of "closure" or acceptance. However, when one provokes another, one must anticipate the "worst case" outcome.

The only hope is that these experiences in life will teach others to know their boundaries. My thoughts and prayers are with both families. Again,no winners here.

Back to worrying about our people in Puna today.

I think this incident would have most likely been a fistfight if we had gun laws in this country like the gun laws enacted in Australia. Except that wouldn't have stopped Deedy from blowing away Elderts, Deedy had his badge.

Maybe not a totally racial issue, but to remove race from this case is foolish. There are steep racial undertones present. Remember, Deedy had been forewarned about "locals." Not a racial issue huh?

Racial or not, whatever. Nobody should have to endure a beating. Defend yourself if you can. So-be-it if the results are fatal.

Opihikao, that was very well stated.
