How are you dealing with this?

I feel the same way about hearing the CD alerts twice an hour on the radio.. I called and talked to the station manager of B97 and they said the CD requested that. I called because I was tired of hearing it so often. The woman at the station said to call the CD and I did. I talked to the assistant what ever as the main guy was in a meeting. He said he would look into... yada, yada, yada.... Well, they are still being run twice an hour. More people need to call maybe to get some changes made. If nothing else, just say it once and read it all the way through twice!! Sheeeeeeesh!

Mahalo Frankie. I feel quite the same way. I've always lived by "Trust in God but tie your camel first." So we slowly set up preparations for being cut off (e.g. extra propane/food/pet food/batteries) as our finances allow. And meanwhile enjoy every day in beautiful Puna.

Thank you, Frankie, for your beautifully written perspective. I too have had to remind myself to stop worrying and keep loving this place which is my home.
I now limit myself to checking lava flow maps/info twice a day. Any more is superfluous and anxiety-provoking.
Then I go pick weeds, because, you know, I must keep up the yard even if there might be lava on it sometime.

This too will pass...

But, if anyone needs help in beaches/shores moving stuff let me know... Don't have a truck but hey! I can help move bulky items or just load stuff up in a trailer. We can all come together and help each other. Smile
