If harryd posts the latest Ana updates in the original thread it will get lost as people respond. That is great for people who read every topic and responses, I don't!
Can't even believe this post is up for criticism[] harryd, if the griping continues, you could edit this post, just change the subject heading Ana update time from 7:30pm to the new time. I hope you leave it the way it is, as far as I am concerned no changes needed!

I like the idea of a new post when new relevant info is ready, as in this case of the storm. Just delete the old thread when you post a new update. New updates tend to get lost with all the replies. I do not see a reason to reply to the OP updates. He is just providing the latest, or to the minute updates. []

Harryd,
Please continue what your doing. It is appreciated! I prefer a new thread for each update; then I don't have to wade through all the bickering.

Thanks Harry. I also like the new topics with updated info. Scrolling through older topics/threads looking for the info I want gets old. Interesting to note that it takes far more time to post criticisms and complaints than it does to find current and relevant information.

Problem with so many threads is when I checked today the 7:30 AM topic was top of the forum when it turned out to be yesterday's update. I found this one way down the page.
Please put the data and day of week in the subject heading, so we can know if it is today or yesterday's update. harryd, did you know you can edit the subject line to make it more clear? Thank you for doing this. I'm very relieved the forecast has dropped the wind speed way down. Rain and high surf I can handle and Puna can handle (except maybe high water in Kapoho again). Yay if we don't see trees and power lines down again. Kathy |
